Dr. Kristel Nazzal is the lead clinical psychologist at Allied Pain & Spine Institute. She conducts and directs a variety of psychological services specialized for the pain and injured population. Growing up in the Bay Area, Dr. Nazzal found fascination with human experiences and emotions at a very early age. After attending University of San Francisco and earning her undergraduate degree in International Business, Dr. Nazzal started work for a multinational corporation. While working abroad, Dr. Nazzal’s intrigue with the human condition grew, inspiring her to transition into the field of psychology.
Dr. Nazzal earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University with an emphasis in Diversity and Community Mental Health. Dr. Nazzal has clinical experience in a variety of contexts and with multifaceted communities. She has special interests in the adult and geriatric population, with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and pain psychology. Appreciated for her empathy and talents, Dr. Nazzal is a vital part of our Institute’s mission to provide the ultimate in multidisciplinary, integrated care.
